Whether we are aware of it or not we are all chasing the spirit. There are times that things are not what they seem. Things that can't be explained by science or logic, it's these situations that lend themselves to believeing there is something more to this life than meets the eye. Miraculous healings, amazing feats of strength when needed. Fortelling with a hunch or intuition about a place or event. Dreams are said to be uncounscious; then why do they seem real and why can't we hold on to them? These are the things the poem is asking us to think about. Read the poem again for more insights.
